This week’s free Clematis by Night event in downtown West Palm Beach will be on Tuesday instead of Thursday, celebrating the inauguration of President Barack Obama.
The event will actually start by day, with live inauguration viewing at downtown restaurants and on a giant screen in Centennial Square starting at noon.
The evening event begins at 6, with the salute to Obama at 7, and will include live music by Mitch Woods and his Rocket 88′s. Dancing, food, shopping and general merriment also are part of this weekly event, which usually takes place on Thursdays. Free commemorative presidential posters also will be available.
