This weekend, you can get one at a discount. Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control is reducing adoption fees this weekend, May 2-3, as part of a national pet adopt-a-thon.
The charge to adopt a dog will be $40, and adopting a cat will be $20. This is actually a fabulous deal, because the pets come spayed or neutered, vaccinated against rabies and microchipped.
The shelter is at 7100 Belvedere Road, West Palm Beach. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
