I still remember the days of Book It from Pizza Hut. After weeks of reading, you’d receive a free certificate for a personal pan pizza. It didn’t take much to get me to read some good books. This deal (brought to you by Cities on the Cheap) brings me back to the time of elementary school, but instead of receiving a personal pan pizza, your child will get a free book from Barnes & Noble.
Would you like to participate? Fill out the reading journal and sign off as your child finishes each book. From May 26 through Sept. 7, your kid can swap the journal for a book. The deal’s good for students in grades 1-6 only.
Unfortunately, not every book in the store is part of the promotion, but there are some excellent choices on the list of eligible titles: you’ll find popular characters like Curious George & Fancy Nancy; timeless authors like Beverly Cleary and Judy Blume, and even celebrities like Whoopi Goldberg.
