This is perfect for those of you who are digging into your geneology. RootsMagic, Inc. is offering free downloads of RootsMagic Essentials, desktop genealogy software based on their award-winning RootsMagic 4 system.

This program contains many of the same core features found in its namesake that allow the public to easily start tracing their family trees. RootsMagic Essentials can directly import data from PAF, Family Tree Maker (through 2006), Family Origins, and Legacy Family Tree. You can also add multimedia to make your family tree come to life.

Free online tutorials are available on the company’s website making it easy for anyone to use.
