Haagen-Dazs is celebrating Free Flavor Day Tuesday, May 18, in honor of the chain’s 50th birthday. Visit a participating Haagen-Daz shop between 4 and 8 p.m. and wish the company “Happy Birthday,” and you’ll get a free scoop of one of the three original flavors: chocolate, coffee, or vanilla.

I ended up spending $10! $9 for two extra scoops, mine on a cone, hubby’s in a cup, $1 tip. I walked away feeling had. It was tasty though.
