Movies on the Ave returns to Boynton Beach on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 7:00 pm. This week’s film is “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” starring Judi Dench, Dev Patel and Bill Nighy. This free event will take place on 129 E Ocean Ave., Boynton Beach (On East Ocean Ave between Seacrest Blvd & NE 1st St.) Plenty of free parking is available. Bring your folding chairs and/or blankets, but leave your pets at home. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Mark your calendars now for Sunday in the Park and enjoy a free concert on Feb. 3, 2013 from noon until 3:00 pm. This month Joan & Bill will be performing amazing harmonies of a wide range of genres. On Sat., Jan. 12, 2013 from 7-9 pm, Viva Classic Rock ‘n Roll will perform a free concert at the Canyon Town Center Amphitheater, west of Boynton Beach. Viva is known for their 4-part harmonies with an emphasis on music from the 50′s and 60′s. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic baskets; pets on leashes welcome.

The city of Boynton Beach will host a variety of holiday events on Saturday, December 1, 2012. Here’s the schedule:
- 5:00 pm — 42nd Annual Holiday Parade (travels north on Federal Hwy, from SE 12th to E Ocean Ave.)
- 6:30 pm — Tree Lighting Ceremony (Ocean Ave., between Seacrest and SE 1st St)
- 7:00 pm — Holiday Concert by “The Contours”

Boynton Beach will be home to a 2-day Pirate themed festival in downtown Boynton on Sat. and Sun., Oct. 27-28, 2012. Taking place on East Ocean Ave., between Seacrest and NE 1st St. from 10am until 5pm, this festival will offer non-stop family fun complete with live music, entertainment, food and drinks. Entertainment will include pirate re-enactments, street performers, acrobats, comedy, children’s treasure hunt, sword fights, a magic show and more. Cuthill’s Backyard is hosting a Pirate Party on Sunday, May 27, 2012. For $10, guests will enjoy one free drink and an all you can eat pig roast. There will be a hot pirate contest, a limbo contest and more. From 3-6 pm, there will be live music from Rum Crew followed by live music by Funkabilly Playboys from 7-11 pm.
Cuthill’s will be offering $5 Sailor Jerry cocktails all day long and the Sailor Jerry promo girls will be on hand for photo opps.
The party starts at 2:00 pm and pirate attire is encouraged.

There will be a free concert on Friday, May 18, 2012 in Boynton Beach. This is part of the Ocean Avenue Concert Series taking place on the third Friday of the month January through May. This month’s concert will feature Clinton Powell & CP+3 Blues Band.
Bring your folding chairs to 129 E Ocean Avenue in Boynton Beach. The concert will take place from 6-9 pm. No pets or outside food or drinks are allowed. There will be plenty of gourmet food truck options available, including beer and wine.

It’s Sunday Funday at the Boynton Harbor Marina. This family-friendly event will include a 24 ft. slide, obstacle course, face painting, fishing with Florida Fishing Academy and more. There will also be a special guest appearance from Lake Worth’s “Muck Monster.”
