Family Fun Fest returns to CityPlace, starting on Sunday, October 11. From 1-4 p.m., families will gather for some pre-Halloween festivities that include taking family photos; making fall arts and crafts projects; enjoying the firetruck, bounce houses, face painting, live entertainment — and of, course, going trick-or-treating at participating locations in CityPlace.

So, get creative, plan out your costumes and head to CityPlace for a day of activity for the entire family.

If you’re looking for some live music, head over to the newly opened Lafayette’s Music Room in CityPlace. This newly opened hotspot, located in the space formerly occupied by B.B. King’s, offers live music, great drinks and tasty Southern-inspired menu options.

Lafayette’s Music Room will host live music every night ranging from Classic Americana to the Country Blues and everything in between. In the speakeasy venue, there will be live piano music or acoustical beats during dinner and beyond.

Gather the kids and head to CityPlace on Wednesdays and Thursdays this summer. Starting in June and ending in August, Carmike Cinemas will be showing movies for the kids, with the featured film changing each week. The movies begin at 10 a.m. Cost is $4 and includes admission, a small popcorn and a small coca-cola product. These movies are presented in 2D and are subject to change.

Carmike Cinemas is located on the second floor in CityPlace.

Family Fun Fest returns to CityPlace on Sun., Feb.8th from 1-4 pm. This month’s theme is Cupid’s Corner and will celebrate Valentine’s Day. This event is perfect for the entire family and is free to attend. Guests will enjoy a variety of activities including:

Free Family Fun Fest returns to CityPlace on Sunday, January 11th. The theme this month is Hero’s Day and it will take place from 1-4 p.m.  This free event will allow children to meet firemen, police and emergency responders; explore a fire truck; take pictures with your favorite Star Wars characters and mingle with other superheroes.  The event is free to attend and is open to the public.

Artisans on the Ave
Join the The Ceramic League of the Palm Beaches for their holiday exhibit and sale on Friday from 6-9 p.m. in Lake Worth. This includes a free public reception with refreshments, demos and great clay art. This will take place at 630 Lake Avenue in Lake Worth; 561.582.3300

Free Music on the Plaza
On Friday, from 7-11 p.m. head over to CityPlace for their free live entertainment on the Plaza with music be Eclipse (Top 40 Variety).



Writing Workshop 
Jessica Handler’s Writing Workshop will take place at the Boca Raton Museum of Art on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. Discuss examples from classic literature, generate new material from prompts and learn the tools to write well about difficult subjects. North Pole at Legacy Place
Legacy Place (in the space adjacent to both Petco and Shoe Carnival) will be transformed into the North Pole on Saturday from noon – 3 p.m. For this free event, guests will enjoy a petting zoo, face painting, stilt walkers, a meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus.



Free Family Fun Fest

CityPlace continues their monthly free family fun fest this Sunday from 1-4 pm. This month’s theme is Winter Wonderland — and guests will enjoy photos with Santa, snowfalls on the plaza, train rides, cultural and holiday performances, a chance to make toys with the elves and more. Guests are also encouraged to bring a toy for Toys for Tots.

FAU presents: Tuba Christmas Concert

Tuba and Euphonium players of all ages are welcome to perform in this free concert in Mizner Park Amphitheater. Performer registration begins at 2:30 p.m. while the concert starts at 5:00 p.m.
