While preparing the kids to go back to school may not be the cheapest things to do, if you shop it right, you can save a bundle of money. Take for example the week of August 4-6, known as the 2017 Back-to-School Tax-Free Holiday. During this time, you can purchase a variety of clothing items, footwear and some accessories (ie. purses, wallets, ties) priced at $60 or less; Back to school supplies priced at $15 or less; and the first $750 dollars of personal computers and computer accessories — tax-free.
