Mark your calendars now for Dachstoberfest

Calling all dachshunds (and dachshund lovers) — we have something just for you.

Dachstoberfest is coming to downtown West Palm Beach on Sunday, October 20. This annual event, now in its 8th year, will feature all things dachshunds from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the waterfront. This dog-friendly event features a Doxie Dash, costume contest, raffles and a social hour — and a Wienie-Wannabee Race for all of the mixed breeds out there.

While this event is free to attend, the racing fee is $15 — and there are a few restrictions, like all dogs must have a current rabies vaccination; they must be kept on a leash; they cannot weigh more than 25 pounds; and any intact female that is “in season” cannot participate in the racing events.

Dachstoberfest will take place at 100 N. Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach. For more information, call 954-260-4304.
