If you thought that drive-in movies are a thing of the past, you thought wrong — because pop-up drive-in movie theatres are popping up all over the country. What a great way to break away from your living room and enjoy an inexpensive night out with your entire family.
Two new drive-in movie theatres just popped up in Palm Beach County — and you’re going to want to mark your calendars now.
West Palm Beach will be kicking off a series of drive-in movies in their new Show on the Go series. Taking place in August and September, these pop-up movies will take place at both Dreher Park and Currie Park. The cost is just $10 per carload or $30 if you want the VIP treatment — Think parking in the first 2 rows, a family 4-pack of popcorn, non-alcoholic beverages and candy. The movies start at 7 p.m., while the gates open at 6 p.m. For more information, head over to WPB.org/events.
The city of Wellington will also host 2 drive-in movies on August 7 and 8 — and for these, the movies will be free. They will take place at Wellington Green Park located 2175 Wellington Green Park. The movies will start at 8:30 p.m., while the gates open at 7:15 p.m. Advance registration is required and a provided QR code will be required for entry. Get yours today at wellington.gov
