Kids and teens will not go hungry this summer thanks to Summer Break Spot, a program funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and, in Florida, administered by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. All summer long – as part of the Summer BreakSpot program – participating locations will be offering free breakfasts, healthy lunches and snack to kids and teens 18 and under. These free lunches will offered Mondays through Fridays. Hours and what meals are offered may vary by location. For more information, visit SummerBreakSpot.org, dialing 2-1-1 or texting the phrase “FoodFL” to 877-877.
