What’s happening this weekend in Palm Beach County? We have a few events for you. This week we’re keeping it virtual because we’re all about keeping ourselves safe — and dry (because you know how the weather has been lately). Let’s explore the arts and add some physical activity to the mix. Here are our picks for this weekend.
June 5: Virtual Art Walk
Delray Beach’s First Friday Art Walk is back — and this time, it’s going virtual. Head over to Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority Facebook page on Friday, the first Friday of June, July, and August at 6 PM and explore the galleries, studios, and art found in Downtown Delray Beach. Many of the galleries have created videos of their space for you to enjoy.
June 6: Free Yoga on Zoom
Spandgg Art Gallery Wine & Beer Bar in Lake Worth will host a virtual yoga class with Jade. This is a beginner-friendly class that will help you feel present and relaxed. Register early and the class link and music playlist will be sent 15 minutes prior to the class. You will need to download Zoom to participate in this class.
June 7: Virtual Self Defense Class
Jupiter Traditional Martial Arts, in conjunction with the Not Just Me Foundation and the Jupiter Community Center, are hosting a Women’s Self Defense Seminar on June 7 from 7-9 p.m. There is NO CHARGE for the class (but if you feel inclined, the suggested donation is $20/person, which will benefit the Not Just Me foundation). This event is limited to 50 people, so early registration is highly recommended. TheZoom meeting address will be provided to you when you sign up.
