From extravagant holiday bashes to intimate gatherings, New Year’s Eve can take many twists and turns. While it is known to be on the pricier side, it is possible to celebrate on the cheap. Here are some free and cheap ways to spend New Year’s Eve.
Listen to Music at Cityplace
Ring in the New Year at CityPlace in West Palm Beach. In addition to the festivities at the individual restaurants, there will be live music with Quick Fix, snowfalls on the Plaza at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and Midnight.
New Year’s Eve Celebration at Old School Square
Make it a family-friendly New Year’s and head to Old School Square between 5 and 9 p.m. There will be a variety of free and cheap activities taking place. For $3 each, the kids can enjoy ice skating, a carousel, mini-golf & a kid’s train ride. Free activities include face painting, kid’s craft activities, a game room, photo booth inside Santa’s house, face painting and live music. The evening will end at 9 p.m. with a fireworks finale on the top of the Old School Square Parking Garage.
Watch the Ball Drop at Harbourside Place
Watching the ball drop on your home tv doesn’t compare to watching it drop on a big screen, so head on over to Harbourside plaza and watch as the ball drops on their 16 ft screen complete with confetti, streamers and more. To add to the festivities, enjoy live musical performances by Making Faces & Solid Brass – and the crew from the KVJ Show.
